Twin Colossals

I have them! By the gods I have them… I have spent the past two years searching… It’s over…. I have them.

I remember when the sister blade, Jang’thraze the Protector, quite literally fell in my lap. I didn’t even realize what I had at the time. It was a very intimidating weapon, that I would not even consider picking up. The power I felt the first time I placed my hand on the hilt, surged through my body like a rushing waterfall. It was a scary feeling, but I liked it….

At first, I was careful not to let the power overwhelm my senses. I would look upon the blade with only gleeful hopes of one day when I might be able to wield the blade. Then one evening I was sitting quietly in the Pig and Whistle, tending to my mug, when all of a sudden I began to over hear the conversation of two humans about the blade Jang’thraze….

My hand reflexively moved to the outside of my pack where I could feel the outline of the blade through the thick leather…

I listened intently as the two men delved into the legend of the blade. They spoke much of the vile trolls in Zul’Farrak and the giant sea creature Gahz’rilla, but that was not all I overheard. Aside from hearing about Jang’thraze, I heard the slightest mention of a different sword… a brother sword to the mighty Jang’thraze… the humans called it… Sang’thraze the Deflector.

I thought to myself, “Could it be possible, that with both blades I could wield such power?”

It was in this moment that my gleeful hope turned to dangerous obsession.

Sang’thraze was all that I could muster from my thoughts. Day and night the task of finding it haunted me like a cold fog rolling through my soul. I unrelentingly enlisted the aid of other adventurers. Askashia came into those temple grounds on several occasions in hope of helping quench my thirst for Sang’thraze. All of our attempts came up fruitless…

Far from wanting to give up, I decided to join another group of adventurers after I had lost the heart to ask Aska to continue on my quest for ghostly relics. The adventurers were all geared up in the Goblin controlled city of Gadgetzan, ready to make way to Zul’Farrak. Having made close to twenty trips into the temple, I knew every inch of the layout, so I offered to guide them. Graciously they accepted my offer, and into Zul’Farrak we went.

To be continued…
